We're Off to a Gold Medal Start!

The 2021 Kindergarten class have been very excited about starting school! The first week of school we learned about the Olympics. Many of the students had been watching their favorite events at home. We had our own Kindergarten Olympic Games with help from our fourth grade friends. At our medal ceremony we listened to the Olympic theme music and stood proudly for the "Star Spangled Banner!" The first week of school was also our "Teddy Bear" week. We all brought our favorite one to school. Needless to say they arrived in various sizes and colors! We did lots of activities with our furry friends! We read lots of books about bears. Our favorite was "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." We had some cool art projects and sang lots of songs about bears, but our favorite one was "Going On a Bear Hunt!" In our Kindergarten Cafe, we cooked up 'beary' special snacks to eat each day. On Friday, we had a Teddy Bear picnic where we played lots of games including "Duck, Duck, Bear!" We are very happy and excited about starting our educational adventure called School!
