The Johnson County FBLA chapter held their first meeting of the year on August 26, 2008. There were 35 members present. At the meeting, officers were elected and committees were set up to help with the homecoming activities. During homecoming week FBLA will hold their annual “Kiss The ???” contest. The JCC- FBLA officers for 2008-09 are: President: Katie Kuhl, Vice President: Liz Britt, Secretary/News reporter: Kaci Wolken, Treasurer: Ashley Wessel, Parliamentarian/Historian: Shelby Blum. The following conferences/competitions are scheduled for 2008-09: Sept. 24, 2008- Fall Leadership Conference (officers only) in Omaha Nov. 5, 2008- American Business Competition at UNL Feb. 4, 2009- SCC-Beatrice Business Competition Feb. 18, 2009- Peru Business Competition April 2-4, 2009- State Leadership Conference in Omaha June 24-29, 2009- National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA.
