High School English - British Literature

By Farris, Kris on October 27, 2014

In British Literature classes, seniors have been studying Medieval literature.  While reading The Canterbury Tales, students focused on Chaucer's art of characterization. Students helped the characters come to life in the classroom through the creation of life size posters of characters.

Senior, Melissa Bausch, explains key characteristics of the characterization poster created by members of her group.

To further understanding of the Middle Ages, students used their iPads to create Thinglink research projects over medieval topics of their choice.  Thinglink is a free, user-friendly digital tool that provides an alternative to the traditional written research report. Students present their multimedia reports upon completion of their research.
