Miss Isaacs's Room 107

November 09, 2015

We’re always keeping things interesting and exciting in Room 107! Currently, the students are participating in a Harry Potter themed ‘House Cup Competition’! Students are divided into ‘houses’ in the classroom, with 1-3 other students in their group. The ‘houses’ work together to earn points for themselves, to earn a reward during the week of Thanksgiving. The ‘house’ with the most points on Monday, November 23 will be declared the winner! Ways to earn points include: good behavior, turning homework in on time, participating in class, etc..

As of Friday, November 6, the leaders in each class period are:

    1st period- Ravenclaw (37 points)

    2nd period- Ravenclaw (35 points)

    3rd period-  Gryffindor (38 points)

    7th period- Gryffindor (15 points)

Only 2 weeks left to earn as many points as possible! Keep working hard!

6th grade students continue to improve on their writing, grammar and spelling each week. We have explored all types of writing genres, and the students are always excited to write about something new. So far, we have wrote poems, mystery stories, personal narratives, fantasy stories, movie reviews, and many others. Coming up, we will write advertisements, speeches, autobiographies, folk tales, and many more!

Title students continue to improve everyday. We focus on staying caught up on homework, checking over homework, staying organized and fine-tuning skills that will help us along the way. My goal for Title students during  2nd Quarter is to stay caught up on all homework! I know they can do this if they continue to work hard!
