Johnson County Central

Johnson County Central students in grades Kindergarten through Third, had an adventurous afternoon on Oct. 21st. They arrived at " Camp Reads A Lot"  to participate in an hour of exciting camp activities. 

 

National Honor Society students from JCC High School were camp counselors. They led the elementary students in silly camp songs and chants around the campfire. Students then retired to blankets, and with only the glow of flashlights were read aloud wonderful camp stories. 

 

No camping experience would be complete, without making an outdoor snack. S'mores were enjoyed by all. Thanks to the NHS students and other school sponsors for helping to make our camping experience such a success. It was so much fun. We love reading!
