This scholarship will provide 75 $1,000 non-renewable scholarships for Nebraska high school seniors to attend a Nebraska college or university. Applicants must complete their 2027-28 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a short scholarship application. If selected, the funds may be used for tuition, fees, books/supplies, living expenses, or transportation costs. EducationQuest will randomly select 12 students each month from November through March to receive the award, with four students chosen from each of Nebraska’s three congressional districts. In April, EducationQuest will randomly select 15 students, with five from each congressional district. November 2026 – March 2027: 60 recipients will be selected. April 2027: 15 recipients will be selected. Applicants not selected will automatically be entered into future drawings during this scholarship cycle. Recipients will be notified by email and must accept the scholarship within 10 days. If a recipient does not respond within this timeframe, they will forfeit their award, and it will be awarded to another applicant. EducationQuest will pay the $1,000 scholarship directly to eligible Nebraska colleges and universities on the student’s behalf in August 2027, after confirming the recipient’s college enrollment, FAFSA completion, and that the “cost of attendance” has not been met.
