ESU 4 Health Van Screenings & Brighter Smiles

ESU 4 Health Van Screenings will begin at JCC on Thursday, January 22nd and Southeast District Health Department Brighter Smiles will be at JCC on February 3rd & 4th. Please read more below for more information.

January 22nd Beginning of Health Screenings

The ESU 4 Health Van will be at JCC for Screenings on all students beginning January 22nd. This will take approximately 7-8 days. They will start in Tecumseh and follow at the Cook site.

The screenings include checking dental, vision, hearing, height, and weight. Blood pressure screening is done on all 7th-12th graders as well.

Parents/Guardians will receive a report after they are all completed. Please review the report to see if your student needs a follow-up evaluation.

Reminder - If your student wears glasses, please have them bring them or wear them for the screenings.

February 3rd & 4th, Brighter Smiles

The Southeast District Health Department Brighter Smiles Program will be at JCC February 3rd (Tecumseh) and 4th (Cook).

The Brighter Smiles program provides dental screenings, fluoride varnish, and oral health education for any age student. A Licensed Public Health Dental Hygienist will complete all services.

If you would like your student to be seen, please let the School Nurse know and she will send home the Brighter Smiles form to be completed and brought back.
