Preschool: Moving On!

October 12, 2015

Preschool is moving along steadily as we dive into math, reading, writing, social skills, and creative play. We are having fun learning patterns and numbers through ten in our math curriculum.  In reading and writing we are currently working on rhyming words, many print concepts, and writing our names. As for social skills, we are working on indentifying emotions through our expressions and body language. We continue to work on all of these skills through our creative free play time on a daily basis.  We have also had fun doing apple, fall, fire prevention and many other fun projects and activities during our time here in preschool.

We were very proud in September to have had a movie party as we filled up our marshmallow incentive jar. The preschoolers loved wearing pajamas and eating popcorn, and look forward to their next party as they work on filling up their candy corn jar. The next party will be a medal ceremony with Mr. Rother handing out the certificates along with the medals. This will be a great way to celebrate and support their growth in listening and following directions/routines as they approach entering Kindergarten. We are having lots of fun this year and look forward to a lot more growth as the year progresses!
